Animate GIF exporting as PDFs

When I try to export a GIF, it's saving as PDFs of the frames. I have exported GIFs before and have not run into this problem. Has anyone dealt with/solved this problem before?

I'm working on a Macbook and have attached a screenshot of the export settings below.

    create a new folder on your desktop

    save your fla to that folder

    check your publish settings to make sure there's no path (just a name) in the output field

    export your gif from animate

    save your gif to that new folder.

     

    any problem?
