Animate is creating a new keyframe every time I change something on a layer

Is this a new feature? It just started happening today. Even if I just move something a bit, Animate puts in a new keyframe at the playhead. If it's a feature, any idea how to turn it off?

Thanks!

Yeah, it's just one more of the many features introduced in recent years that break the logic of established workflows and brings much more harm than good.
