Animate not drawing short lines

Hey, I've been working on a small project in Animate CC and found that it won't draw lines shorter than maybe half an inch or dots. how do I fix this? I've tried messing with the drawing preferences and nothing will work. is anyone else having this problem? I have a Huion Kanvas GT-221 Pro Tablet and it works perfectly fine in other adobe programs. If anyone knows the answer or has suggestions, I'd muchly appreciate it.
