Animate will not save changes i make to the layout

Animate is not saving layout changes. It does not show the most recently opened documents. How do I fix this?

what are the steps you take to create a custom layout and save it?

if you're not creating a custom layout and saving, that's the problem.

where are you looking for recently opened documents?

when you first start animate, are recently opened listed?

when you click file>mouse over recent, are they listed?
