AS3 or Titanium platform

Hi there,

I spent some time last night looking at Titanium platform API's and it looks really promising that it provides native UI through JavaScript- How exciting! But my question lies here is that Which one is better to use AS3 with these frameworks(Starling, feathersUI, mad components) or Titanium?  I want to know if the Titanium platform is for free because they've got pricing plans which don't make sense to me at this stage.
