AS3 wont publish

Hi, I am trying to modify a FLA file, which is already done. Problem I am haveing is when I publish the FLA file,into a SWF, the AS3 file wont publish . Am a newbie with this so not sure what I am doing wrong, Without the AS3 file, the movie just loops.

well guess i am not gonna receive any help here, will keep trying and look else where pretty sure im doing something wrong in the publishing part of it.

It's likely that there's a problem with yoru AS3 file that's preventing it from compiling.

Check for compiler errors when you attempt to publish to see if that's the problem. Normally, if there are compiler errors they will pop up in the same area of the work space where your time line is. If you con't see a Compiler Errors window there you can make it visible by going to the Window Menu and making sure "Compiler Errors" is checked. If it's generating any errors post them here if you need help deciphering them.

If it's not generating any errors it's possible that your FLA does not know to use the AS3 class. Make sure your FLA is using the class somehow so that it knows it needs to compile it.

ok all i am doing is changing 2 back grounds in the FLA file, i have not changed anything in the AS file that was part of the original FLA file, but when i try publishing it, the AS file wont publish. I am getting no errors

If you're not getting any errors at all then i'm not sure without being able to see the FLA.
