Question

Audio becoming terrible when I import it

I'm a professional voice actor who animates as a hobby, so I have a pretty good microphone and setup for recording. I recorded it in Audition, and exported it. It sounded perfect. Even after saving the file and opening it, it still sounded great. But as soon as I imported it into Animate and played it back, it was terrible quality, had lots of air hiss, and somehow bitcrushed a little. I have no idea how this happened or how to fix it.

Before import, make sure your source audio is 44100Hz 16-bit PCM WAV.

This should be read correctly when brought into Animate.
