Audio on stream but I can't hear it let alone scrub through it

I've made sure the canvas is action script 3.0, and the sync is on stream, but the audio just doesn't play. The audio file definately isn't the problem as other sync options (like event) work but aren't scrubable. I've tried MP3s and WAVs but there isn't any change.
