audio preview not playing in Animate 2023

i think ive figured out the problem to my last post about audio not playing. I think it may be linked to audio not playing when i hit preview on the custom effect window and when i test it in the library window.

the only thing it could show would be that no sound played, but it's an animated gif so there can't be sound.
