Background Problem in Animation Video?

I am trying to create videos in Animate (Adobe Animate 2024) to bring into Photoshop for an animated video. I have done this before very successfully but I don’t recall how!

I am creating movie clip symbols with a transparent background using alpha 0 in the Properties, and Exporting the file as Video/Media.

When I export the movie from Animate it creates a black background! I do not understand why! What is going wrong?

    BTW, I am using AME 2025 & Animate 2024.
Now, if I use the queue to render, the MOV renders with a black background & does not show the animation.

are you using a setting that supports transparency:

Thanks. But I just tried this. It still makes a black background.

    It says Default (AME).
I read something on another post about NOT checking Adobe Media Encoder.
I tried that on a test and then it worked better!
But I just tried it again & now it is not even outputting the MOV file even
    tho' it says it is!

    open ame

    export your animate videi

    but uncheck ame auto-start.

    check ame settings

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

using the community is about forum questions.  animate forum is for animate questions.
