Question

Brush Tool Difference in Animate Versus Flash

Can anyone tell me why the Brush tool in Animate responds differently than in my old version of Flash.

I am using pressure sensitive in both but in flash the tool seems to be much more expressive (the lines vary more in thickness) whereas in Animate (Classic Brush) the line has a much more consistant width.

Can I adjust settings to get the same effect? I can't find settings to do this.

See attached examples.

Thanks for that -so many settings! All of which help towards getting the
    effect that I love about
old fashioned Flash. Haven't quite got it as yet but it's pretty close and
no doubt a few tweaks will sort it.
Interesting to note that Adobe chose to use the name 'Classic' Brush which
leads you to believe that this brush will be just the same as the old Flash
standard brush tool - not so!
Whilst I'm quite happy with the limitations of the old Flash Brush tool and
therefore happy to accept similar limitations of the new 'Classic' brush
tool the new Classic brush just doesn't have the character of the old.
Makes me wonder why the new Classic brush even exists when there seems to
very little classic about it - Fluid Brush is definitely the way to go,
especially with the ability to save your customised brush(s) as a preset.
I recommend this tutorial to anyone that is in search of their perfect
    brush.

With the classic brush, if you set the smoothing to 98 you'll get something close to how the brush used to be in old Flash.
