Brush Trouble

So I have this problem in adobe animate in which the brush tool seems to want to make a line that comes from out of the frame and does not let me draw normally. It only seems to be a problem with the brush tool as the other tools are shown to work in the video. My drivers for my tablet along with my adobe suite are all updated, so I'm thinking it could just be a simple fix that I'm missing. Thanks for the help!

Edit: I think the video is fixed

Hello Mr Kiwi, and welcome!

The video does not show up, because of a recently introduced bug in the forum. Attachments just cannot be downloaded.

But I believe that you have a very common and reoccurring problem.

If you have the latest version of Animate 20.0.3 try to switch to Windows Ink (Beta) in the Drawing Preferences.

If you're not using a Wacom device this may get your tablet to behave as it should.

Don't forget to restart the program and try with a blank new document.

Also you can search the forum. There are plenty of topics and some happy users reporting that the problem has finally been solved after years of pain.

[Edit: Yep, video is there now too.]

Thank you so much! It worked! Next time I will search the forum more in depth when I have a question or problem. Thanks!

Great to hear, mate!

It would be good it you name the brand and model of the drawing device, just for the sake of others who may face the same problem.
