button on imported video

help me make that play button funtioning on the imported video pls! i need it able to play and pause the video. btw, i'm using adobe animate 2023

what video?

did you import something into that video layer (eg, a video) that you expect to play when publishing? if yes, that video must be an flv file. is it?

you can play and stop the flv video by playing and stopping the timeline that contains the flv video:

yourbutton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, playstopF);

flvmovieclip.play();
