Can't edited properties in fla file Application descriptor file cannot be parsed

Hi there, I had compiled two apps, one for Android and one for iOS using Adobe Animate. This was last year. Now, when I open the ios fla file, i am unable to access the toolbox in settings (it was for AIR SDK version 33.1.1.217. The message that showed was 'Application descriptor file cannot be parsed'. I had assumed it was an older AIR SDK version. So, i downloaded the latest version (action script compiler for MAC) from HARMAN. I then extracted the file and pasted the folder into Animate. Now, the new AIR SDK version shows in the settings, but the 'Application descriptor file cannot be parsed' message still shows and I can't access the toolbox in settings.

Kindly advise.

Aris

does the descriptor file have some android specific data?  ie, copy and paste the descriptor contents here.

or delete the old one and create a new one when you publish.
