Can't import (copy) illustrator file to animate

Hi, i created an illustration in Illustrator CC 2018 and tried to copy it to Animate CC 2018 and i got the message: "Could not import the file because the file type is unrecognized." So i tried saving it as .ai and. svg and importing it but got the message: "One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them."

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi mexom

just in between: Have you tried other AI files? Is it only the one TEST which doesn't import?

Yes, me too. Only 1 file cannot import into animate, others can.

resave from ai with a new name. then try and import that newly saved ai file.

in animate, click file>import>import to library and select ai from the file type drop down.

attach a screenshot showing the selected ai file just before you click open.
