Can't see the stage outline?

I'm animating and my stage needs to be two different colors throughout so for the first half I made a crude square to cover the stage and I cannot see an outline for the work space/stage afterwards. This is gonna make it rather difficult to go in and refine the edges without being about to easily see the stage outline, I know I could make the temporary background an outline for the sake of seeing the stage edges but I wanted to know if there is a way to see the stage outline over top of the artwork.

Apologies if my question isn't specific enough, I've never posted on here before but I'd really appreciate any help anybody could give me

[Moved from the Lounge (which is where you can "connect with your peers" from across all of Adobe's products for conversations that don't directly relate to help and support) to a product-specific support forum (I guessed Animate from the fact that it was being called a "stage" - moderator]

If you want to just see the Stage, you can toggle on the new option to Clip content outside the stage. It's a button above the stage just to the left of the magnification of the Stage.

Then why did you draw a crude square instead of a square precisely sized to the stage dimensions?

Awesome! Thank you so much, that's super helpful. I've been using roundabout ways to see where the stage ends when I have backgrounds that go outside the stage so this is helps a lot!

That feature was added a few versions ago, and now people are asking for it to be removed.

Which version of Flash Pro or Adobe Animate are you using?

The View menu has a Pasteboard option, which is another way to see exactly the stage area.

The Lounge Forum is not for technical help, please provide the name of the program you are using so your message may be moved to the correct program forum... A program would be Photoshop or Dreamweaver or Muse or Premiere Pro or ???
