cant hear my imported audacity sound

ive tryed to import a sound file two animate on windows 10. i have not updated and it worked onece before. i did the exact thing again and it wont work! ive tryed mp3 and wav files  and the sound is there but no madder what i do i cnat hear it i can see the adiuo lines but cant hear them. has this happend to anyone else? help!

encode with one of the following sample rates which Controls sound fidelity and file size. A lower rate decreases file size but can also degrade sound quality. Select from the following options:

5 kHz

Acceptable for speech.

11 kHz

Recommended for speech.

22 kHz

Acceptable for most types of music on the web.

44 kHz

The standard CD audio rate. However, because compression is applied, the sound is not CD quality in the SWF file.
