Code Hinting Painfully Slow in CS6

I have noticed that code hinting has become painfully slow for Flash CS6 on Mac. I am running a high spec mac pro tower (2x quad core xeon, 8gb of ram, Radeon 5770 1024mb gfx card, OSX 10.8.2) and the code hinting is so slow that it makes me want to tear my eyes out. Anytime I type something that triggers code hinting. (such as a variable datatype, a function call, a function return type, etc) The entire UI locks for 5-10 seconds while the code hinting "thinks". 90% of the time I don't even need the code hinting and I am just typing something like ":MovieClip" or ":void" but the torturous delay occurrs nonetheless. Could this be something settings related that is making the code hinting system bottle neck so painfully?

Did you happen to find a fix for this?  The exact same thing is happening to me.

I even turned off my code hints, but there is a still a delay when I type something and hit the period key.

In preferences you can set the code hinting delay. If the majority of the time you don't desire it, set the milliseconds before it pops up higher so it never fires until you explicitly wait that long for it.
