Community Support? YES, I NEED MENTAL SUPPORT BECAUSE OF ANIMATE

WHY, OF ALL APPS, IS THIS THE MOST STUPID ONE???

I try to parent some objects, THEY CHANGE IN SIZE. I try to go a couple steps back, EVERYTHING CHANGES IN SIZE. I rotate an object, THE PARENTED OBJECT CHANGES SIZE. I work for 30 minutes on a project and am about to save my file, IT CRASHES. 

Please, someone, explain to me why this app wants to give me mental trauma for the rest of my life...

    it doesn't appear you want help with the animate problems, but for the one that's difficult to prevent, animate crashes, save your fla frequently with increasing version number appended to the file name. periodically close and reopen the latest version to confirm it's not corrupted.  if confirmed, you can delete the previous versions.
