    Hi mate,

    I looked into your file.

So how many times did this file (RECOVER_RECOVER_RECOVER_RECOVER_MINECRAFT%.fla) crash without you making backups?

I'm sorry to say it - I understand that you are a student - but your file structure is a complete disaster, and because of that you will have to rework much of it, I'm afraid.

You have pushed Animate beyond a limit with the use of those groups.

This is not how FLA files have to be organised.

What has happened is that it cannot load all those hundreds of free floating objects with bitmap fill into memory and has lost the connection between your bitmap texture and the shapes. (That is why you only see the red shape without the bitmap fill.)

Here is an article on rigging for Flash Animation and another one on animation file structure with some samples that you can download and study:

    https://flash-powertools.com/character-rigging-for-flash-animation/

    https://flash-powertools.com/workflow/

If your teacher did not teach you how to set up files, this is really a problem with your educational institution.

If he did, but you still decided to use groups (instead of symbols) to make frame-by-frame adjustments - well... - you have created a serious problem for yourself.

You'll have to either re-do things properly (using symbols) or submit with the red shapes and explain to the teacher what happened.

If you keep working on this file the way it is, you are most likely going to experience more issues and data corruption.

    Good luck.

My best advice is: Don't panic and try to learn from this bad experience.

    Hi mate,

Make sure from now on to have backups of your files, so that you don't experience such work loss again.

This is a valuable lesson to learn.

Did your teacher never tell you to save versions of your files and back up your work?

If he didn't, then it's at least partly on him.

Save your current file under a new name and try re-importing these bitmaps.

You have some textures/bitmaps missing, right?

    Instead you see red shapes.

Import those missing bitmaps again. If they are inside symbols you will be able to repair your file by putting them back into the symbols.

You can also try to Update or Import by selecting them in the Library if you can call their properties.
