Crash on quit (Animate 2022)

This happens to me every time.

If I press Cmd-Q, or hit the red button to close the project window, Animate crashes.

I am on macOS 12.6

Make sure you have the latest version of Animate 22.8.0 and see if that fixes the issue.

cmd-q i believe is the shortcut to close animate. does it really crash or does it quit?

and what red button? (paste a screenshot with arrow, if needed, into a reply.)

I get the crash reporter from both macOS and Adobe, so it's a crash.

The red button is part of the three stoplight at the top left of every macOS window.

reset your preferences by removing

Mac:

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/<Animate CC version>/ and

/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Animate/<version>/)

Win:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate CC <version>\ and

C\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Animate\<version>\
