Question

Create screensaver without Flash?

Flash has been discontinued by Adobe and Microsoft have disabled it in Windows as of today.

This means that our screensavers  no longer work as they were created using flash (.swf) files with InstantStorm. Users will now receive a white screen when the screensaver starts.

What are our options? We created the .swf in Adobe Animate. Then converted to .scr using Instant Storm.

    Hi everybody!
I have had the same problem, that the screensaver I created with InstantStorn didn't work anymore. I now created the screensavers with Ultra Screen Saver Maker. It's not a free software, but it works really well.
You can convert Flash Animations as well as videos or images.
    Hope that helps 🙂

We are sitting with the same problem! Also used InstantStorm to convert. No use contacting vendor (Directly from Adobe: "Since Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after 31 December 2020 and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning 12 January 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.  " - So the question remains - what do we use now to create screensavers?

Going to have to ask your vendor for migration info.

SWF if still a valuable format so not sure why the vendor is blocking it.
