Cursor performance issues in Animate 2017

I'm posting this to see if anyone has experienced performance issues with Animate 2017 on a mac, specifically the cursor and how it interacts with menus docked on the right-hand side of the stage?  Whenever I mouse-over any menu from the right side of the stage, the mouse/cursor slows considerably almost as if it is gliding over adhesive tape. When I exit these menus, all issues disapear.  Running Animate 16.0.0.112 on OS 10.12.1 on MacBook Pro 2013.

Any suggestions are welcome.
