Custom Artistic Brushes in Adobe Animate

Is it possible to create your own custom brushes to add to the brush library? Some of the Chalk brushes don't quite work for my purposes, so, I'd love to be able to make a few tweaks to the brush shape.

I admit I tried adjusting the SVG file located in one of the charcoal brushes folder, but all I ended up doing was breaking that particular brush.
