I've been using Adobe flash cs4 on my laptop for 2 years, It worked perfectly. But now I switched to my new pc that has windows 10, after installing it I tried distributing layers and it doesn't work anymore. My laptop had windows 7 in it and flash worked fine. But on my windows 10 it keeps bugging.

I suspect if Distribute to Layers won't work, many other features in AnCC won't work either due to some outdated video card or old drivers or lack of system resources in general.

At some point you might want to just come to the new age and upgrade to 22.0.3 Adobe Animate. Adobe Doesn't support CS4 anymore.

That is true, today I installed a new driver for my Radeon R7 260X, that was the problem. It works fine now.

use xp sp2 compatibility mode.

if that fails, you're out of luck.

Right-click on the exe or the icon on the desktop, choose properties and go to the Compatibility tab.

Try running the program in compatibility mode for Win 7 or Win Vista, even XP.

I tried it but the problem still occurs... Sometimes it even says "could not complete operation because of an unknown error"

There is a possibility that some other software is interfering and the issue is not caused by Windows 10.

Close all other programs that run in background and try 'distribute to layers' again.

If that does not help, I'm out of ideas.
