Question

Do I lose my animations if I unsubscribe from Adobe Animate CC?

I have a work-in-progress animation in Adobe Animate, but I am not using it at the moment, and don't want to keep paying 20$ every month for something I'm not really using. I'd like to unsubscribe for now, but I also don't want to lose my animation work. It is saved as a fla. file in my computer, but will that be deleted after unsubscribing, or will it just be prevented from being used. Please reply, thanks.

    Hi mate,

You will always have your FLA files as long as you keep copies of them.

Just keep them safe and always have backup copies. (The backups are needed in case of file corruption, which in not unheard of.)

Later if you renew your subscription you will be able to continue working on the FLAs.

In the mean time to be able to watch your work-in-progress, make sure you have exported  SWFs and also MP4 video.

Find where Animate is installed on your computer and inside a folder called Players:

Copy FlashPlayer.exe to some other location before you uninstall your Animate.

This is the standalone FlashPlayer that is free and can always open and play your SWF files.

    Hope this helps!
