Drawing is Laggy

Hello, 

I am experiencing severe lag when drawing in Animate with any of the drawing tools (brush, pencil, line, etc.) 

This only happens with heavier files -- ones with lots of keyframes & symbols.  
Drawing in a blank file works fine.
I have a powerful PC so I don't think my system specs are to blame.

      This has always been an issue with animate and I've never found a true fix. One way is copy the movieclip you are working on into a new document, work on it in there, and paste it back into the larger file when you're done.

       

      I already split my libraries into SWC files to reduce overall lag but it still will happen on large MCs.
