Question

Easing is jerky.

I’m having trouble replicating rush hour traffic with a movie clip, classic tween and the easing property. It’s still jerky; any tips on smoothing would be appreciated. Thanks!

    what is

    framerate

    pixels moved in tween

    duration of tween

    30 fps

Not sure about the pixels, but it’s small bitmap with a mask

Duration is short, 15 to 30 frames

I kept distance the same and extended the duration which made movement more realistic.

    Thx

how can you not know the amount of x pixels moved, and the amount of y pixels moved?

anyway, all that info is essential to determine if that’s an animate issue, or an author issue. eg, if you want to tween 120 pixels movement in 1 second with 60 fps, there are going to be ~2 px movements per time interval (~1/60 second).

because of the overhead of bitmaps, if you don’t have movement/time issue, you can trace that bitmap and convert it a vector which eases animate’s overhead.
