erasing symbols without breaking apart

so i want to erase stuff on my symbol without breaking it apart to make tweening work but i just cant find a way to do that so i tried editing the symbol but that just erases everything on every keyframe instead of the one im in can someone please help me i just cant do it anymore

nvm i figured it out all i needed to do was break it apart (actually) then erase and draw my stick figure again then make it a symbol again
