Question

"Find" isn't working?

-I've installed recent updates today.

-I'm using CS5.5.

-I'm using Windows 7.

-My Computer is an Acer Aspire.

-I think I've already tried to recreating Flash Professional preferences; I did the Hot-Key combination, Windows asked me if I want Flash to make changes to my computer, and I let it.

So here's what I've got so far.

So apparently the Find and Replace box for .fla files can't find anything if I tell it to find anything over 1 line.

So, if I typed in

"
" (It's just the enter key pressed once)

And asked it to find all instances of that, it says no matches found, even though the .fla contains many instances of starting new lines within the ActionScript codes in specific frames of Movie Clips.

The same problem seems to happen with Tabs ("     ").

Help?

Update: It seems like the Tab key is working fine.

Also, if I open up the ActionScript on a particular frame and edit it, the Find function now works, but only for that particular frame; it can't find instances of the enter key outside the code on that frame.

i wouldn't expect it to find anything if you use the enter key or the tab key.  what about some keyboard characters?

Keyboard characters seem to work fine. However, I can't find and replace specific blocks (as in, multiple lines) of code now, since blocks of code contains both the enter and Tab whitespaces. It used to work just weeks ago.
