Flash Developer Needed

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good Flash Actionscript 3 Developer, or know where I can find one??

It's for an approx months freelance work to build our website which has become much too complicated for my basic knowledge of Flash.

Design work not essential, but must be excellent at actionscript code to work with live webcams and chat rooms.

Thanks

Suzanne

thanks suzzana.

the transfer to a new hosting setup is in-process and hasn't been completed yet. so, i suspect the problems still exist intermittantly.

i think the hosting setup will be completed this week and then i just need to get the address to my registrar.

Hi,

It's Suzanne, who wrote the original post....I haven't looked at this for a while and what a reaction, I've been laughing really hard!!!

If it helps Mr.KGlad, I looked at your site again today and it is now working. Although I have always used Flash 9 player and have a decent connection and retried it several times the first time. Perhaps you have sorted the error out?

I won't comment on content as it seems everyone else has been very helpful in that department!

In the mean time I am still looking for a decent AS3/PHP/chat/live video developer if anyone can recommend I would be greatful.

Regards,

Suzanne

thank you for the help. i am loading, just less than, 21kb of sharedassets (a font and the button graphics) in a swf file and less than 1kb in an xml file.

both load sequentially, and there is no attempt to use something before it's loaded, but that would cause the issue ebinion and i have noticed: sometimes it doesn't load right away and when that happens, it just won't load no matter how long your wait. hit reload and everything pops up quickly and from then on everything is ok.

but i have kglad.com pointing to a directory in my main business website gladstien.com. and now that i'm writting this i realize this is the problem. the redirect occassionaly hangs the transfer of those loaded assets/xml.

thanks everyone.

OK, I am willing to move on, despite some of the very harsh criticism's displayed here.

Feel the love..............

Great! Thanks for that.

Kglad, this week I visited your site and it was very, very slow, unresponsive, took forever to load data.
Yesterday... no problems watsoever, loaded fast, behaviour as expected. Must be a server issue.
If I can help you any further, let me know.

I see that Andrei has the gift of sarcasm -like I do. heh heh...

Ha! That was pretty funny Andrei. You should be an art critic. heh heh...

LuigiL is right though. I am sorry for my part. ;)

bnailWedge, since you are sorry I, being a good pal, am sorry too in this case. Let's make up as suggested.

Gime a hug and let's go to the bar - the one two houses over - and discuss how our lack of sense of humor got us into Flash development.

First round on me.

I wouldn't say I am a fan, but I see him in here day after day posting great answers to people's questions. He has answered my questions from time to time as well. Kglad has insight and he is consistent, reliable and fast with his answers. Before you bust on him, it seems like you might want to consider respecting his extensive knowledge and cooperation in assisting others. That was one point.

My other point was not as apparent as I chose to make it more subliminal; and perhaps less embarrasing for you. However, it seems to have gone over your head. So I will make it more clear. Judging by YOUR website and YOUR apparent skill-set, you have no absolutely NO ground to stand on when acting with arrogance to someone who has humbly proven themselves, time and again, in this forum.

If you are going to submit such posts as the ones in this thread, you would gain far more credibility if you remove the link to your website. Because...er...you need more practice in Flash.

You use such words as Respect and Arrogance, clearly you have none of the first and too much of the latter.

By describing me and my so called lack of talent, you have proven yourself to be exaclty what you accuse me of.

Still, there is no need whatsoever to react the way you did.

thanks. i've heard from a few people that nothing loads.

rarely, i've gone to my site and nothing loads. i hit reload and everything appears and works fine. then i clear my cache and cannot reproduce the problem.

so, like all sporadic problems, it's difficult to debug and may be a server issue and not a coding issue. that server (yahoo) does have some known problems.

very few people have a problem with my site. so, there might be a common problem.

The site loads and works fine for me.

Kglad's site works just fine (always has). The fact that "The Feldkircher" posted twice with the same response is perhaps a strong indication of a connection issue. -I.E. his reply action was taking too long so he hit the submission button twice.

BTW Feldkircher - Kglad KNOWS his stuff and he proves it -consistently. He is one of the masters in this forum. So instead of "smarting off" like some fresh Flash n00b, you should quietly pull up a chair and learn from the man.
