Floating Window Disappears

I'm using Animate, as I've always done, using two monitors with the timeline on the second monitor... but suddendly every time I click out of Animate the floating window disappears until I go back into Animate.  So, if I click on finder to drag something into Animate, all floating windows disappear. No other Adobe software is doing this. Why is this happenning?
