Hello, I'd just like to ask you what happens when the trial ends? Will it stop working or will it immediately convert to payment without permission? I just need After Effects for less than a week...

it will continue to work and automatically convert to payment because to start your free trial you have to agree to adobe's terms which include trial conversion to a paid subscription at the end of the trial date. ie, you won't see any warning or reminder from adobe that your trial is about to end and payment is about to be extracted.

ie, start a monthly subscription and enter a reminder on your calendar so you don't forget to cancel.

p.s. you cannot pre-cancel.
