Graying out background elements while editing symbols and grouped objects

I can't find the setting inside of Animate that allows the background layers/elements to fade/gray out while editing a symbol, grouped object, or drawing object. This was a default feature in older versions but I don't know the name of this or where it's located. Thank you in advance!
