Handling double click on a list component

Hi,
Can any one help me to handel a double click on a list component and identifing which selected item in the list has been double clicked by the mouse pointer (i.e. returning the selected index) as I searched the list class and I found no double click event. I'm developing using Actionscipt 2 and Flash Professional 8
