Have 1 line stroke with 2 end points on 2 separate layer depths

Hi,

For a cilent I must animate eletricity surging through powers lines.

For lack of better words, I have 2 "powerline support beams." One is in layer depth 0, and the other is in layer depth 100. 

I would like to know if there is a way to attach the 2 end points of 1 line stroke to 2 seperate layer depths. So, when the camera pans, the lines adjust accordingly making it appear as if the powerlines are connected to the support beams.
