Help changing the aspect ratio of a graphic

Is there a way to modify the size of a graphic without affecting the positioning of the instances? I need to change the size of the graphic, but it always ends up affecting the positioning of the instances in the movie clip. I can even select all the frames and change the size of the instances at once, but it doesn't affect the size of the graphics. I need the modification to be made to them.

Ah, I think I understand what you mean. But in this case, when changing the size of the graphic, the positioning of the object/part has its position changed in the instance that is in the movie clip. So if I have a cut out animated character and I try to shrink the head of the original graphic from 80x80 to 40x40 it will not only affect the size but also reposition the instance/symbol being used in the movie clip. I wanted a way to maintain the same position even if the size is adjusted

Since you already have animation, you should do the scaling of the content inside your graphic symbol.

If the Registration was not correct from the start, you can fix it with Zero Transform, before you do the scaling.

put the reg point at the location that you want to remain unchanged with resizing.

an example?  every time you resize something the reg point remains fixed.
