Help! I think my .fla File got corrupted!

I was working on my project, saved it, Windows then decided to crash on me, I tried to reopen the file but it said "An error occurred opening file". I've even checked the RECOVER file and it still doesn't open. I spent hours working on this and I'm really bummed that this happend. I tried looked for answers but they were all very vague.
