hints wanted for animating the opening of an item

I wondered if anyone out there has some sample code or hints about how I might do this. I have a row of buttons. When the user clicks on a button a whole bunch of stuff happens including the appearance of some descriptive text about the choice they made. I would like to have the descriptive text (which I have put inside a movie clip) animate from the location of the button into a specific location and grow from a small size to the full size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
