Hooks on strokes when using pressure sensitivity

Does anyone know why this would happen when enabling pressure sensitivity? It's happening at the start of every stroke, most noticeably when drawing up or down. 

I don't get this in photoshop or illustrator using the same Wacom Intuos Pro medium.
