Hover effect text appears on stage

hello.

I have been at this for 4+ hours and would give up if it wasnt a homework assignment.

I create a button symbol and have a hover effect that displays a text box. Where I place the text box becomes a button as well which I dont want.

Why is it that I set the text to appear when I hover over the button, but regardless of if i have the button hovered, the text is still there in the background. If I hover over the area where I specified the text to be when the button is hovered, the text appears as if the buttons hovered
