How do I add clicktag to a web banner for an exit to webpage?

Help, please! I'm having some trouble adding a clicktag to a banner. I would preferably like to add it in as an action, however, the preloaded code snippet seems to be unresponsive. I've come across example code to be placed into the HTML file, post publishing. I'm not that confident coding though, so if there is a pre-publish solution, that would be ideal.
