How do I find a qualified flash developer in my region?

Hello,

My organization is looking for someone with heavy Flash/AS experience for an upcoming project. How do I go about finding people with the right qualifications? Who would you call? A technical recruiter or temp agency?

If you identify the region you are in, you might find someone here who's there and qualified.

Alternately, you could try submitting your need to an online freelance service like www.guru.com and specify the restrictions for the qualifications you require, including region.

And the other options you mention may produce results as well.  It mostly depends on where you are as to how fruitful of a selection you might find.

The location is in western Oakland county in Michigan. I'm still trying to understand the entire scope of the project. I do know that the candidate we hire will have a lot of credible experience in actionscript, along with some interaction with databases.
