How to deal with overlapping lineart for limbs symbols?

Hi!

What is the best way to deal with overlapping lineart for limbs in adobe animate? I have 2 symbols for a fore-arm and higher part of the arm but when they are overlapping, I want the fore-arm symbol's lineart to not be visible inside the higher arm.

 

If it makes a difference, I am also using the EDAP plugin.

You need to create a "patch" symbol on a layer that covers the joint.
