How to Embed YouTube Videos in Actionscript

We're retiring our Flash Media Server, so I'm needing to replace any rtmp references to .flv files with an embedded YouTube video.    Is that possible?  I see some older posts discussing this, but I understand that Google gave up on its AS3 implementation in 2016, so the older posts are probably no longer relevant.

Is there a current way to embed YouTube videos in actionscript?  (Specifically, an AIR iOS application.)
