how to find version history of documents?

Hello,

So I was currently working on a huge animation and the copy and paste thing for the frames wasn't working, so I copied all of the frames of the project, deleted them, and then opened a new file and tried to paste them to fix the issue, but it didn't work, now my file might be lost forever. Note that I put around 4 months of work into it 😞

Is there any sort of way to recover a document's version history, and is it possible to restore an old version of the document? Plz, let me know.
