How to spread a gradient fill on multiply shapes ?

Hi

How can i spread a one gradient fill on multiply shapes ? flash cs6

For instance, lets say i got three simple squres, and i want the gradient to spread on all three of them ..

I remember a particular button to control this  in previous flash versions, but cant find one in cs6

if you want to do it on the timeline: Put the 3 shapes on the top layer and your gradient on the below layer. Now right click on the top layer (layer containing the 3 shapes) and select mask.
