How would I bend a line of an object?

Hey there, this is my first time using this sort of software for a class I'm taking. It's going well so far, but I'm stuck on how to bend a straight line, much like in the attached picture. When I hover my Selection Tool crusor along the edge, it doesn't give me the option to bend. Any advice you guys can give?
