html5 canvas video file deleted when file is published or tested

2017.1 Release

Build: 16.1.1.0.86

video: mpeg-4 file

I have a video component on my stage, with the source pointing to a file in my folder  - "Videos/myVideo.mp4"

When I Test or Publish the file, the video in my folder disappears, so I'm assuming it's deleted because when I search for the file on my computer I can't find it.

Is anyone else having this issue?

these are user-to-user forums.

if you can duplicate the issue, using a browser that allows popups and cookies,  contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'chat', http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-ccm.html

Figured out the bizarre problem.  I think animate creates it's own video folder, then when you select the 'source' it puts the .mp4 file into that folder.  BUT::::  You need to have a folder outside the 'animate folder' which you most likely called 'video'. or 'videos' and leave it outside the animate directory.  Animate will duplicate the .mp4 and put that file in it's own video directory.  Not very good universal script writing I must say.....  Some how without this 'outside' folder animate just makes your .mp4 dissappear into thin air....

Yes, I'm having the same issue.  This happens every time I select source from the components video's dialogue box, check the javascript and test.  Think Animate is so full of bugs.....

i've still never seen this problem, but maybe you all have some different software (eg, av) on your computers.

I found that I needed to publish to a separate folder.  When publishing the HTML5 file to the same folder as the project, the mp4 files would be deleted (not even to the trash folder).  When publishing to a separate directory all seems to work.
