I need to produce high quality gifs but with low file sizes

Question

I am creating animations (1024x512px 30.00 fps) that I want to export as animated gifs for social media, but they are always exporting in large file sizes 3mb +. In work I access to the files of similar projects done by external design agencies, where they have exported really good quality gifs from Adobe Animate at small file sizes e.g 444kb, but if I open their source Animate file and try to export the exact same gif, I'm getting 4mb. Am I missing something that allows me to without effecting quality. Please note, they are achieving this without removing frames, or colours or rendering the gif pixellated or jumpy in anyway. What version of Animate are you using?There have been some improvements to the animated GIF export in Animate CC 2017: What's new and changed in the 2017 release of Animate CC so you should upgrade if you haven't yet.You can also try something like http://ezgif.com/optimize or https://compressor.io/

I doubt they are using Animate to export animated gifs, because they always look terrible. More than likely they are exporting the frames and then compiling the animated gif in photoshop. Besides this having 30fps for an animated gif for the internet is like driving a BMW on a GoKart track, you can get away with 12 or even 8fps
